Love Your Vagina Day this April!
Apr 21st 2023
April 23rd 2023 is world Vagina Appreciation Day. VAD is a fun, open celebration of female empowerment and sexual liberation that has been increasing in popularity since it first began in 2014. Comedian and podcaster Whitney Cummings created VAD in collaboration with a birth control brand and the "Just Say Vagina campaign" and it is promoted as a time of self-discovery and feminine positivity with an explicit request for women to show appreciation for their vaginas and have plenty of orgasms.
VAD is a bold, grassroots campaign created to promote body positivity and the right to self-pleasure and well-being and the movement has grown into an annual worldwide celebration of women’s health, beauty, strength and sexuality. From events, discussions, parties and performances to educational initiatives, Vagina Appreciation Day has become the ideal opportunity to recognise and celebrate the power and wonder of the female body, vagina included. The goal is to spread awareness of women’s rights, health and equality, while also providing a platform for people to talk openly about sexual pleasure in a relaxed, safe, healthy environment.
This special day continues to grow in popularity year by year, with events held all over the globe. Why not organise something yourself for VAD with friends or even locally in connection with a women's group, yoga class or similar? In addition to providing a platform for open dialogue about sexuality and female pleasure, this day also serves as a reminder of the need for gender equality and sexual health all over the world.
From educational wellness initiatives aimed at teaching women and girls about their own bodies, to discussions on topics such as sexual and emotional consent, body image, contraception and reproductive rights, Vagina Appreciation Day is an open door to celebrate the female body and for promoting diversity and sexual liberation. This quite surprising but very real international day is once again sending a clear message that women’s bodies should be respected, celebrated and discussed openly.
VAD is also an open invitation and a wonderful opportunity to practice self-care and TLC. Whether through yoga, meditation, journalling, exercise or simply taking some quality time for yourself, the day serves as a clear reminder of the importance of self-love and appreciation. Self-care activities are a great way to reconnect with your feminine trinity (mind, body and vagina) and to express gratitude for everything they do for you.
What better way for a woman to celebrate her own amazing body, sexual health and self-care on this day than an intimite makeover down below? Choose from a vagicial or yoni steaming, a new pubic hairstyle or colour, or even some safe all over tanning, while protecting your most intimate areas with the innovative, patented VA J-J Visor vagina shield.
Shields or visors for vaginas are such a great invention and really easy to use too. Not only do they protect the inner labia, your vagina and your whole body from germs and dirt but they also give you the feeling of being less naked during all over tanning and other health and beauty treatments. With a vagina visor in place you can apply hot wax or use razors right up to where you want to because it protects your skin, the inside of your vagina and its lips perfectly. They are specially designed to stay in place even if you need to stretch or open your legs wide during tattoing, getting a piercing, any kind of pubic hair removal and even while dying or colouring the hair on your vagina.
Are you looking for a natural, organic solution to dye your pubic hair either to cover grey or just to go wilder and sexier? Minikini pubic hair dye may be the perfect choice for you! This product is designed to provide a safe and effective way to easily dye your pubic hair with natural ingredients. It contains plant-based ingredients like Aloe Vera, chamomile, green tea extract, and calendula extract. These are all known for their soothing properties and are gentle on the skin. The product also includes a blend of vegetable dyes which provide color to your pubic hair without harsh chemicals or ingredients.
Minikini pubic hair dye is safe, effective and easy to apply, and the colour can last up to a month with regular maintenance. The product is free from harsh chemicals, making it a good choice for those who want to avoid potentially irritating ingredients. It is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free, making it an ethical choice for anyone looking for a natural solution.
Dying pubic hair can be safe, as long as you take the necessary precautions. The first step is to choose a dye specifically designed for use on the body because normal hair dyes contain harsh chemicals that can cause skin irritation and other adverse reactions when used on sensitive areas such as the genitals. It’s also important to follow the instructions carefully and test the dye on a small area of skin before using it on the pubic area near the vagina. This way, you can ensure that you don’t have an allergic reaction to the dye.
When dying pubic hair, be sure to protect your hands, eyes and mouth and of course your actual vagina from the dye. You can wear gloves, goggles and a specially-designed disposible vagina shield throughout the process to prevent any dye from coming into contact with your skin. A VA J-J Visor is also a great option if you opt for a professional pubic hair colouring session because it will help you feel less exposed and protect you from any germs or dust in the air. Remember to avoid using permanent dyes on the pubic area as these can be more difficult to remove and may cause irritation or even infections.
It is possible to dye your pubic hair without using a visor or vaginal shield but they are surprisingly inexpensive and come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are made from safe, flexible materials including silicone, rubber, and plastic. Each type has its own unique benefits, according to each woman's needs. Some women may find that using a shield with an adhesive backing is more comfortable than using one without and others may prefer greater flexibility or shape retention. Some even make their choice based on the range of fun colours that the vaginal visors come in.
What are you waiting for? The countdown to VAD is on and there are so many ways you can celebrate your owe or your loved ones' vaginas this April. Some women are even organising Vagina Awareness Day sponsored pubic hair dying sessions with photoshoots to raise money for ovarian and vaginal cancer. Whatever you decide to do, either in public or privately this VA Day, remember, stay healthy and safe, have fun, enjoy and above all else, love your vagina today because it's special and the only one you've got!
